ITINERARY: Day 1: Arrive early morning at Haridwar. Drive and check into a hotel. After breakfast, an introductory river run from Marine Drive to Laxman Jhula, negotiating some of the famous rapids of the river like 3 Blind Mice(III), Crossfire(II+), Roller Coaster(III), and Golf Course(III+). After rafting back to the hotel for hot lunch. In the evening sightseen of Rishikesh, with a holy spiritual ceremony of the Mother Ganges.

Day 2: An early morning drive to Kaldubagarh (6 hrs), the put in point. Enroute we stop at Devprayag, to see the confluence of the two rivers (the Alaknanda and the Bhagirathi) which meet to form the Ganga. Check into guest house/ camps upon arrival and get personal kit ready. Overnight Kaldubagarh.

Day 3: An early start today, we drive an hour to Chamoli and begin our river trip after a comprehensive safety check. We raft 30 kms with nearly 40 rapids today, including a possible portage at Hillary Fall. This is the spot where Edmund Hillary’s famous “Ocean to Sky” expedition ended, being unable to travel up this rapid. Lots of paddling, lots of scouts, this is the quintessential river day. We float into familiar Kaldubagarh for the night. Overnight guest house/ camps.

Day 4: Today we raft from Kaldubagarh to Gauchar, rafting down a plenty of nearly 20 Class 3+ rapids over a 4 hour day. We camp near Gauchar, 7 kms upstream of the confluence of the Alaknanda with the Pindar at Karnprayag.

Day 5: Today we raft till below Rudraprayag in a 5 hour day covering 30 kms of Class 3+/4 rapids, including a portage at “Kakar Fall”. We drive back down the valley to arrive at Rishikesh in hotel for dinner. Overnight in hotel.

Day 6: After breakfast the guest will depart to their further destinations. Trip concludes.

Rudraprayag–Rishikesh (Alaknanda/Ganga)
Situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and the Mandakini: the two of the main tributaries of the Ganga. Rudraprayag is known to many as the place where the famous, Jim Corbett shot a man eating Lepoard in 1932. Although no more as thickly wooded as it was once. Rudraprayag is still close enough to Jungles to make it a very charming place and the put-in point of an exhilarants bit-demanding river running. After the put-in point just above the Confluences the river makes it way through a series of rapids, narrow gorges and quieter stretches, passing through the towers ofSrinagar and Deoprayag (confluence of Alakananda and Bhagirathi). Further known as "theGanga", river reaches Kaudiyala, from where the strech to shivpuri and on to Rishikesh is the most popular one.
The entire river expedition takes about 5 to 6 days depending upon the pace. The most appealing thing about this expedition on " The liquid Highway" is that other then enjoying the adventures of rafting on Indian's best white water, it also presents the opportunity to see the densely forest, Himalayan foothills at close quarters. And to add more flavors this stretch also takes you through the heart of “ Sacred India" with plenty of opportunity to visit old temple on this trip in the holy river.

Day 3: After breakfast, help in getting the rafts readied and packing bags. A detailed safety briefing follows with instructions on paddling commands, rapids to be encountered etc. Expedition begins with a big Grade IV rapid, "The Holy Hole", at the confluence with the Mandakini. Rapids keep coming in quick succession. Soak in the sun, river and scenery, staying alert to help negotiate rapids. Lunch near a waterfall and continue to make camp for the night after Srinagar. Long day on the river, covering about 36 river kms till Maletha beach. Campfire dinner and overnight Camp.

Day 4: Raft down to Devprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers. The river is now called the Ganga. Camp at Beas Ghat, a famous fishing spot for the mahseer, also called the Ganga Gold. Cover 30 kms for the day.

Day 5: A relaxed day with few rapids. A day for swimming, body surfing, relaxing and spotting wildlife. Make 30 kms to reach camp at Kaudiyala,. Camp over night on the beach at Kaudiyala.

Day 6: The day begin with big rapids followed by Daniel dip, the wall, Three Blind Mice, Crossfire, and the Body Surfing rapid. Cover 35 kms to reach Rishikesh. After lunch we run big rapids, the Roller Coaster and Golf Course to make it an exciting end to a grand adventure. The rafting trip ends near Rishikesh.
